Winter break is all about trade at the Ribe Viking Museum. So count your sceattas and explore our exciting activities.

Make your own leather pouch

This winter break you can make a leather pouch for your sceattas.  

Our Museum Viking is ready to guide you through the process. Maybe he’ll also tell a story or two. 

 

Practical information:

  • Price: DKK 25
  • 10, 12, 17 and 19 February at 10:00-13:00 (Tuesday and Thursday in weeks 7 and 8)
  • Location: Skolestuen
  • Limited number of places – activity tickets can be purchased at the ticket office
  • The activity takes approx. 20 minutes
  • Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Treasure hunt

Did you know that Ribe was one of the biggest Nordic trading towns during the Viking age? 

 

This winter break, you can join our treasure hunt and learn about some of the goods that the Vikings traded with. 

 

Practical information:

  • 7–22 February during museum opening hours
  • Free activity for museum visitors
  • Available at the ticket office

Color the gods from Norse mythology

Take a break and immerse yourself in the world of myths. During the winter break, you can color gods and scenes from Norse mythology. Colored pencils and drawings are ready and waiting. Just sit back, relax, and let the colors flow! A cozy time for both children and adults.
